Another Day

The day gets away

While the warm sun bathes

I ask myself; Did you read a good book today?

To whom did you pray?

If the day turns grey,

I let my heart take reign

I become smarter from all the pain

Smoke, dream, think, freak it all away

Don’t we all do it, anyway?

When the evening air saturates my quiet space

Comfort comes while my house cat plays

A reminder of what I love at stake-

So, how I wouldn’t have it any other way

Then to have another sacred day.
